Meet the Team
Hi we are Daryl and Katie Cooper, we took over the Fox & Hounds on the 21st January 2009. This is the third public house we have run and we pride ourselves on quality home cooked food and fine real ales, with high standards.
We aim to push forward with everything that we do, be it a music evening or maybe even a charity event.
Katie and I started out together where we met at the Masons Arms in Bury St. Edmunds. Katie was head chef and I was originally pot-man come wash-up, moving on to head barman. We were then given an opportunity to manage our own pub in Bury St. Edmunds. We gained vital experience there.
After that I went on to become Deputy Manager at a family run hotel in a small village called Thurston while my wife carried on her duties as head chef at the Masons. After that we decided to upheave completely and move to a managed house with another brewery where we did our training. We went on to run a public house in East Yorkshire for a while and decided we needed a new challenge.
Thats how we ended up in West Berkshire. Here we have a very professional team consisting of Tom Woods our Assistant Manager and Carrie Young as one of our head chefs, along side her is Jet Ogden,Jamie West, Chris Price, Charmaine Coldman, Jamie Dodson, Louis Tuck, Tom Fox, Sheila Bonner, Charlotte Clutterbuck, Amy Keep & Cindy Ross.,
