We are just South of the village of Theale, opposite Hosehill Lake. The Fox & Hounds is believed to be around 200 years old and was originally a drinking venue for local farmers back in the early 1800's, it was known then as the Drum & Monkey. The village of Theale has had the nickname of THE ALE due to fact of having 13 public houses on the high street alone crammed between many family run businesses.

We are a Village pub and restaurant and we pride ourselves on seasonal home cooked food, with our fresh fish selection, specials board, table menu and quality real ales with an extensive fine wine menu. In the summer you can expect fresh flowers on the tables daily with a well kept garden and in the winter candle lit dining area with open log fires.

We are now taking bookings for Wedding Parties for 2013/14, please call or pop in for one of our Wedding packs or Brochures
